Joseph was Lee Calhoun, the sleazy and arrogant playwright of 'The Deep North' in Chichester's sparkling new production of the classic Rodgers & Hart musical comedy.

Actress and singer Lorna Luft was Mrs Phyllis Owen, the highly ambitious stage mother, who protects her actress daughter “Baby” with an iron fist. Daughter of Hollywood Legend Judy Garland, Luft follows in her mother’s footsteps as Garland appeared in the 1939 film version of the Rodgers & Hart hit show.

With classic songs The Lady is a Tramp, My Funny Valentine and Johnny One Note, Babes in Arms transports audiences back to musical theatre’s glory years, as a group of bright young things decide to take their show from their barn to Broadway. Featuring the immortal line “Let’s put a show on, right here in the barn”, the zany comedy is complete with breathtaking choreography and a show-stopping score.
